The IAPHC announces the untimely and shocking passing of the IAPHC 2007-08 Chairman of the Board, Arthur Mole of Vancouver. Arthur passed away suddenly at home, in his sleep the evening of December 7th, leaving behind his wife Valerie and sons Craig and Simon.
While Arthur was just 54 years of age he had a lifetime of involvement and credentials to his name including the most successful 7 day Cruise Convention, that he orchestrated for the IAPHC in 2004, endearing himself to the hundreds of attendees as the Cruiseman. As a Regional Director, and Vice President of The International Gallery, Arthur maintained his staunch support of his beloved Vancouver Chapter and the many friends and extended family he shared in England, Canada and the United States.
The IAPHC is respecting the family's privacy and in doing so have set up a Mole Family Memorial Fund in order to assist with unplanned for financial obligations both with the family and in the interim the Proforma Franchise that Arthur and Valerie relied upon for their source of income. Any member, former member or friend of the IAPHC is invited to contribute to the Mole Family Memorial Fund. Donations may be sent to IAPHC Headquarters, 7042 Brooklyn Blvd., Minneapolis, MN 55429, USA, until January 31, 2008. The funds will be forwarded directly to the family.
The Vice Chairman of the Board Julie Hiatt of Seattle, requests that the IAPHC membership, "carry on Arthur’s dream of building our association to the world class organization he knew it could be. On behalf of our entire association, we send Arthur’s loved ones our condolences and thank them for allowing all of us to be a part of his wonderful life – for this we are truly grateful."
...With all due respect Awtha....you left us too early.
Within hours of the news of Chairman Arthur's passing, the IAPHC learned of yet another Craftsman who left us too early. Former IAPHC Chairman of the Board, 2004-05, Norm Belanger of Calgary passed away Sunday, December 9 of pancreatic cancer at the age of 56. He is survived by his loving wife Louise of 34 years, his daughters Michelle (Robert Gossen) and Diane (Landon Fabbricino) and grandchildren Caden and Kayla.
By request of the family, those wishing Memorial tributes for the Belanger family may be made directly to the charity of choice. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.mem.com <http://www.mem.com/> .
Norm was loved and well respected for all of his contributions to the IAPHC at the local, regional and international level. Most recently he chaired the committee that re-wrote the IAPHC governing documents.
The IAPHC expresses its deepest condolences to both families and it is with saddened hearts that the Graphic Professional Resource Network will continue with the dedication and passion that these two gentlemen encouraged.
More information and communications are forthcoming. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IAPHC INC, Headquarters 7042 Brooklyn Blvd., Minneapolis, MN 55429 USA www.iaphc.org 800-466-4274
